This year a focus was on learning a couple digital creation tools that would work well for K-2. The following two tools were selected because they are engaging, age appropriate and very usable. Here are presentations as well as notes from what we have learned.
Little Bird Tales
Please note- The first page cannot be moved. So it's important to have a picture either of what you want on the front cover to start or something to use as a placeholder until you have what you want on the front cover.
Sock Puppets
Here are some examples of how I've seen Sock Puppets used recently: In one classroom, they were studying presidents & had done research on them. So Abraham Lincoln & John Kennedy had a conversation with each other using Sock Puppets. In another class, they were studying weather. So one person was the asking questions about the weather while the other person answered them.
This blog is meant to serve as a Professional Learning Commons for K-2 instruction using technology. It is a collaborative tool for communicating with colleagues. As we continue to refine our digital literacy skills, the content of this blog will evolve to reflect our new understandings. Here you can access resources, print documents, comment on posts and ask questions. Enjoy!
